Experience the Downtown of Portsmouth through Main Street Portsmouth In Bloom

Every year, Main Street Portsmouth In Bloom offers a series of regular events celebrating our Community.  These events showcase Small Business and present an opportunity for Visitors to familiarize themselves with Downtown Portsmouth.

 

The Ellen Vetter Memorial Chocolate Walk and the Annual Cookie Crawl feature 30 to 40 Downtown Businesses offering an edible treat to participants at each stop.

Many local businesses in the downtown area are featured in the annual Cookie Crawl in December and Chocolate Walk in February.

The Tour of Historic Places provides an in-depth introduction to four special Buildings in Downtown Portsmouth.  The event features an interior and exterior tour of each location, as well as its story from past to present.  Proceeds benefit the MSPIB Design Committee, and all money raised is used exclusively for Downtown Portsmouth beautification.

The MSPIB Farmers Market on the Roy Rogers Esplanade is a destination for Regional Shoppers looking for fresh produce, delicious baked goods, and the crafts for which Appalachia is known.

 

The MSPIB Farmers Market showcases special events for families, including agriculture education, art activities, and musical performances.

Featured during the summer months, the Farmers Market is a perfect place to find local treats, crafts, and fun activities for all to enjoy!


·        MSPIB Farmers Market – Saturdays 9:00am to Noon Each Season

o   Market Opens the 3rd Saturday of May

o   Market Closes the 1st Saturday of October

 


 

The Farm To Table Dinner and Dessert Auction is an extension of the MSPIB Farmers Market featuring a gourmet meal created from locally sourced ingredients.

The Farm to Table Dinner serves as a way to celebrate the agricultural community of Scioto County and features locally sourced foods including delicious desserts!

The Celebrate Portsmouth Dinner and Silent Auction is MSPIB’s annual fundraiser, where outstanding Volunteers are recognized with awards and the Community accomplishments of the last year are reviewed.  Proceeds benefit MSPIB’s continued programming.

The Paul E. & Kevin W. Johnson Memorial Soirée and Silent Auction is a relaxing afternoon spent in good company over light refreshments.  All proceeds benefit the MSPIB Design Committee, and all money raised is used exclusively for Downtown Portsmouth beautification.
